Security Lead (SL)

Due to continued growth as well as several large projects, we are looking for a person with a security and team lead background to join our team full-time for this versatile position as Security Lead.

Place within the organisation

 

Position (Sl) is a region mid operations function. Position reports directly to the Manager Operations (MO) and indirectly to the COO. The direct reports to this position are 3e party security teams in region mid. Internal contact is within the operation department over the different locations of the region including support if required to region east and west. external contact is with auditors, suppliers and customers. Position is part of the team leaders within the region.

 

 

Purpose of the function

 

To lead the security teams of the Datacenter United Brussels (region mid) for the appointed locations (Evere, Machelen and Mechelen) by safeguarding the high secured named locations and to immediately respond to any security issues or related issues. And to continuously improve security standards  to the highest level. Keeping our high end customers safe and secure at all times.

 

 

Areas of responsibility

Security:

• Lead the security teams on daily bases.

• Ensures security teams are motivated and dedicated with clear objectives.

• Daily follow up on security incidents including taking appropriate actions and providing reporting.

• Interact on daily bases with SOC of high end customer(s).

• Daily debrief to MO.

• Continuously seek improvements to safeguard and secure the location and keep security to the highest standards.

• Organize at minimum monthly meetings with security provide or if need be more frequent.

• Budget responsible for the security department.

• Liaise with IT on automation.

• Act as second pair of eyes for the MO for the appointed locations.

• Take an advisory role on security matters for the Data Center United Group.

• Keep up and implement new laws regarding security.

 

Support for region east and west:

• Support other Regions on request or demand.

• If security best practices would be beneficial to other regions share this information and support implementation.

 

Support for Service Delivery Management:

• Support service delivery design and implementation of customer requests as and when required.

• Act as technical expert for sales and in negotiations.

• Support the management team by customer bids.

• Support to tenders when requested and required.

• Act as technical and operational interface between Datacenter United and customers in case service delivery leads needs it.

 

 

Experience, knowledge and expertise

• Higher education in the field of security or equivalent.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as security guard.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as security lead or manager.

• Officially certified by the Belgium government to work as a security officer.

• Experience in Belgium law about security.

• Fluent in Dutch, English and French.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

• Excellent people management skills.

• Good communication skills.

• Google knowledge.

• Accurate.

• Proactive.

• Stress-resilient.
